An Evening of Collective Giving

On July 17th, the Sturgis Area Community Foundation was proud to host another powerful gathering of 100 Women Who Care of St. Joseph County. This annual event brings together women from across the county for an evening dedicated to community, connection, and collective impact. Each woman contributes $100, and by the end of the night, a $10,000 grant is awarded to one local nonprofit making a meaningful difference.

This year, we were honored to welcome three remarkable organizations to share their missions and stories:

  • Camp Fort Hill
  • United Community Assistance Program
  • Sturgis Pregnancy Helpline

Each group spoke about the work they’re doing and how additional support could expand their impact. One of the most unique parts of this giving circle is the opportunity for community members to hear directly from the nonprofits themselves, who are doing the everyday work to support our neighbors.

After presentations and thoughtful conversation, attendees voted, and we are excited to announce that this year’s $10,000 grant recipient is Camp Fort Hill!

This evening would not have been possible without our generous partners. A heartfelt thank you to Klinger Lake Country Club for providing such a lovely setting, and to Heather Swinsick of Hip Padders Catering for the incredible desserts that added the perfect finishing touch to the night.

And most importantly, thank you to every woman who attended and donated. Your generosity and spirit are what make this evening so special year after year. Together, we deepen our impact and empower those who serve St. Joseph County.
