The Lillian M. Anway Scholarship Fund awarded its first scholarship in December of 2000.

Lillian Anway led an interesting and varied life. She traveled the country as an opera singer and music was her first love. During a stay in the hospital Mrs. Anway was so impressed with the nursing care she decided she wanted to help nursing students as well as those pursuing music.

Scholarships are awarded to graduates of Sturgis High School and Centreville High School based on financial need for students attending nursing school, college or university with plans to major in music or nursing.
