The Constantine Area Community Foundation, an affiliate community foundation fund of the Sturgis Area Community Foundation, celebrated 25 years of giving this week with a community movie night before fireworks on the Fourth of July. More than 200 local residents attended the free event which featured a showing of Sing 2 on a jumbo-sized outdoor movie screen called the “Monster Message”.

“It was nice to see the so many local families come out to enjoy this event together,” said Kathy Messner, CACF advisory board President. “It was a wonderful way to celebrate 25 years.”

Since 1997, the Constantine Area Community Foundation has partnered with Sturgis Area Community Foundation to build permanent endowments benefitting Constantine. Each year, nonprofit organizations and local students are eligible for grants and scholarships through the foundation, which has returned more than $315,000 to the Constantine community since its establishment.
